On the afternoon of October 27, 2018, the "special session on psoriasis research progress" of the second "China psoriasis Congress" continued. Top experts from the National Psoriasis field delivered wonderful speeches on the latest progress in the field of psoriasis. The forum focused on the frontier, based on the foundation, close to clinical practice, and covered a wide range of topics, including basic research on genetic immunity of psoriasis, artificial intelligence diagnosis, clinical experience sharing of traditional medicine and new drug treatment, and diagnosis and treatment characteristics of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

        Professor Chen Xiang, director of Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of skin cancer and psoriasis, Professor Wang Honglin, deputy director of Shanghai Institute of immunology, Professor Shi Yuling of the Tenth People's Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University and Professor Xiao ting from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, respectively, presented the topics of "psoriasis and metabolism", "the role and mechanism of abnormal metabolism of psoriatic epidermal cells" and "psoriasis" The report "research progress on the relationship between pathogenesis and heredity" and "generalized pustular psoriasis, herpetic pustular disease and il36-rn gene mutation" introduced the latest basic research progress of psoriasis from the aspects of metabolism, immunity and genetics.

        Psoriasis is a kind of chronic disease which is difficult to treat and easy to relapse. Professor Zhang Furen, Professor Gu Heng, Professor Zhang Xibao, Professor Liu Xiaoming, Professor Xu Jinhua, Professor Wang Gang, Professor Li Yuzhen, Professor Zhang Chunlei, Professor Zheng Min, Professor Zhang Anping and Professor Sun Qing focused on the treatment of psoriasis, from local treatment to systematic medication, from traditional drugs to the latest biological agents and small molecule drugs, focusing on the mechanism and clinical application of drugs In terms of the types of bed application, we shared the experience of medication summarized by ourselves, covering a wide range of contents and closely related to clinical practice.

        The conference also continued to carry forward the concept of TCM characteristic medicine and promote the application of TCM in the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has its unique position in the treatment of psoriasis, starting from the holistic view and guided by dialectical treatment. Professor Yang Zhibo discussed the principle and practice of syndrome differentiation and treatment of psoriasis from the aspects of characteristics of syndrome differentiation and treatment, TCM diseases, syndrome differentiation and syndrome combination. Professor Liu Qiao and Professor Li Fulun talked about the application of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in psoriasis.

        Artificial intelligence is a hot word in recent years. The combination of artificial intelligence and dermatology has provided great help for the improvement of medical level. Professor Cui Yong from China Japan Friendship Hospital shared the application of human intelligence in psoriasis diagnosis by taking dermatoscope and skin CT as examples. Skin imaging technology is helping the diagnosis of skin diseases.

        In the academic conference in the afternoon, experts presented us with a wonderful academic dinner. From the basic research progress to the specific treatment methods, from the conventional treatment of Western medicine to the syndrome differentiation treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, from the traditional diagnostic means to the auxiliary diagnosis of emerging artificial intelligence, each speaker comprehensively interpreted the latest research progress of psoriasis from different angles. It is believed that the academic conference will play a positive role in improving the diagnosis level of clinicians and promoting the development of psoriasis prevention and treatment in China.
