This is the patient, the patient's family and colleagues around the most concerned about the problem. Many of the patients we came into contact with isolated themselves for fear of spreading the disease to other members of the family. There are new mothers who are afraid to touch their children, to breastfeed, to sleep with their children; In some cases, the patient's family members restrict the patient's movement for fear of infection; Some grandfathers and grandmothers with psoriasis are not allowed to contact their grandchildren. Patients are even not allowed to eat at the same table with their families, and the cases of estrangement and even discrimination against patients are more common. These circumstances cause tremendous mental pressure to the patient, suffer from great pain, even make some patients produce the idea of suicide.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with reddish color, thickened skin and a long course of illness. However, the inflammation of psoriasis is not directly caused by infectious pathogenic factors such as bacteria, fungi or parasites. Modern medical examination methods have reached a very high level, but so far has not proved that there are infectious pathogenic factors.

In addition, observation of psoriasis in clinical practice does not have the problem of infection. The degree of human contact is closer than that between husband and wife. Nearly 1,000 patients have been interviewed, but no cases of transmission between husband and wife have been found. Isn't the fact that nearly a thousand couples have lived together for more than 20 years and no one has been infected enough to prove that the disease is not contagious?

We once met a patient who was initially ill during a haircut. His scalp was scratched and psoriasis developed at the site of the tear, so he firmly believed that his disease was contagious during the haircut. In fact, this is a misunderstanding, because trauma is one of the facilitators of psoriasis, psoriasis lesions in the site of skin injury, known in medicine as the "homomorphic response", some patients in the needle on the injection of psoriasis is the reason.

The above situation fully indicates that psoriasis is not contagious. It is very important to understand this, so that patients, their families, relatives and colleagues around this aspect of the doubt can be relieved of the patient's mental stress, to build a more relaxed social living environment for the patient.
